October Important Upcoming Dates

Good morning, Eagle families! It's hard to believe that we are already heading into October! There is so much happening at TOCS starting next week! Keep these upcoming dates marked on your calendar.

September 30th-October 4th Parent Conferences- 1pm dismissal

Make a note that next week is Parent Conferences. We will have minimum day dismissal all week- 1pm. Please be sure to make arrangements to have your students picked up on time. We appreciate your help!

***There will not be any 2nd-5th grade afterschool program on September 30th. There will be THINK Together during the week of Parent Conferences.

October 7th is a Non-Student Day.
There will not be afterschool programs or Think Together on this day.

October 1st is our Day of Awesomeness! This is a celebration day for all of our students. Our Eagles did an incredible job this year with our fundraiser. If your student earned level prizes, they will be given to them on this day. This event is held during the school day. We are so excited to celebrate this success!
All of your hard work helps our school to provide field trips, bus transportation to our field trips, and student incentives.
Fall Festival presale will start October 1st-11th. Wristbands for the game area with candy and prizes are $10 during presale and $12 at the door on the day of the event. I will be posting a link next week and sending home more information on our presale. Fall festival is a fun night for our students and families. Students are welcome to dress up in costume. The costumes must be appropriate for school. No masks or weapons allowed. There will be games, prizes, a DJ dance party, local vendors, food trucks and more! This year we will have a student friendly haunted walkthrough. In honor of Hispanic Heritage month, we will be having a ballet folklorico performance by a local dance studio. It's a night you don't want to miss!

We will be accepting candy donations in the office for Fall Festival.

Fall Picture- Make-up Day

***Please note that only students who were absent or are new to our school will be photographed. Fall pictures should be arriving soon. If you are not happy with your student's picture, you can send the whole package with them to school on this day and they will retake their picture.

October 17th is The Great Shakeout!
This is an international day when millions of people worldwide will participate in earthquake drills at work, school and home. For more information on how you can be prepared at home visit:

Ring in the Holidays Fundraiser

This year in place of our holiday shop and See's candy, we will be doing a Ring in the Holidays fundraiser. A brochure will go home with holiday items you can order. It will be sent home October 25th. The deadline for orders will be November 15th. Orders will arrive the week before our winter break.

October 28th- November 1st

We pledge to be drug-free! Our spirit week schedule will be posted closer to this date. Our community partners at Chik Fil A will be kicking off our week with a family day. They will donate 20% of the sales from our school back to us!

Hi Eagle families! I have only received a handful of orders for Fall Festival. I will extend the presale deadline to October 16th. I know with Parent Conferences last week, there was a lot going on. Please turn your order in as soon as possible. This helps us to be able to estimate what we need for the event.

We are also accepting candy donations in the office. Please be sure they are individually wrapped. We appreciate any candy you can give.
